Father's Day is coming ahead. Of what had happened during our recent Mother's Day celebration, it has taught us that going to a fancy restaurant right on the day is a big NO-NO. It is going to be crowded like never before and the enjoyable dinner would eventually turn out to be disastrous. So, we celebrated our father's Day much earlier and we had a nice dinner just the recent weekend.

The location we choosed was Restoran Eipoh which is located near the Mun Cheong restaurant and Sen Heng Electrical shop at Jalan Pasir Putih. I heard the food is pretty nice here so we gave it a shot.
We ordered a set dinner for the whole family and the package cost RM368.00. Well, that doesn't sound exactly cheap considering this is not a well known restaurant but looking upon it's menu, I would say it certainly cheaper than Tuck Kee or Pusing Mun Cheong if you have the same dishes.
Ya know, the restaurant was also full at the time we arrived there, luckily we made an early reservation.

Loving old couple. My dad was already 66 this year yet he was still strong and working in construction site. Oh yah, I didn't really believe myself he was that old already just by the was he looks like.
My mom however, was currently taking care of my sister's children at Ringlet, Cameron Highlands.

Cheers, the dinner package is inclusive of a bottle of Red Wine, duno-wat-brand la. Well, anyway it did cheers everyone up cos we get to yell 'Yam Sengggg!!' altogether. Many of those who seat next to us gave a curiosity stare at us.
Allright, lets get on and have a look whats on the table this time. Ya know, I like to blog about food and I guess everyone in the family know that I like to take photos of food, though they do not know I'm blogging about it. I get full co-operation from all of them cos allowing me to snap a nice photo of each dishes. Yeah, they actually seating there waiting for me.

Uhh! Look at this platter here. Eipoh style Five Prosperity dish. Let me recall a bit what they have in this fabulous dish.
First of all, there is this Egg fried with Shark Fin, correct, it's Shark Fin ok. The last time I had egg fried with shark fin was during my sister wedding few years ago and its thumbs up!
Then there is the meat roll stuffed with crab stick and vegetables. Yummy...
The drumstick look alike thingy at the bottom was fried fish paste coated with sesame. Not bad though.
The tiny little drumstick on the left is not likely a chicken. Most probably it's a quail chicken. No matter what it was, it does taste very good!
And finally the chunk at the middle was... umm... didn't really remember whats that. Well, if I cannot remember what is it then it just mean that it isn't very tasty lor... hehehe.

Shark Fin soup! I'm not really a fans of shark fin soup. No, I do likes shark fin soup, just that I felt so pity with those sharks being killed until some of it's species facing extinction.

Well, good shark fin soup are very expensive. Yeah, those that you can actually eat the shark fin and feel it's bite. Cheaper shark fin soup like this one was like... like what my dad asked.
"Do I see any shark fin inside my bowl here?".
Yeah, it was like that. The shark fin was so fine that you won't even felt it existence.
Actually, I prefer the seafood and fish maw soup instead. The soup is thick similar to the shark fin soup but there is a lot of ingredients inside the soup such as fish meat, prawn, squid and so on. It was a very awesome and handsome soup.

Roasted Suckling Pig. Well, this one was fine. Very crispy. The only lack was the tiny little steamed bun. It is not the taste which is sux, it was it's size. Seeing is believing.
It was only the size of my thumb? OMG. Enough to eat or not!

Argh..! Steamed fish with soy sauce. This fish was really fresh and it taste perfectly good. two thumbs up for this!

Fried Freshwater Prawn with Soy Sauce
Who doesn't like prawn huh. I like it for sure. Not only the prawn was so tasty, the size was also remarkable.

Usually, you only find the freshwater prawn big only on it's head. But this one was big from it's head to tail. No kidding. I don't even get prawn at this size during wedding dinner. If can I wanna give 'em three thumbs up!

Braised mushroom with vegetables.
Yummy, I love mushroom. The braised gravy taste perfectly fine.

All right, this is the Lotus Leaf Fried Rice. As the waitress serve this rice onto our table, I could smell the fragrance of the fried rice and it surely tempting. Drooling droolling...

Dessert!

Well, I don't know what was the name of this dessert, I only know it taste very well. lol.
Overall, the food for the dinner was satisfying. The food was delicious and the environment at the restaurant was pretty comfortable eventhough it was fully seated.
The service was somehow acceptable. It doesn't take long for the waiter/ess to bring your extra order of chilli sauce or spoon. They will top up your drinks just like big restaurant did.

coketai: the package meal isn't specially for Father day since. The have varieties of package meal for you to choose. The restaurant was pack during weekend, make a reservation if possible.
yung: yeah, I liked the big head and blue color long claw prawn. the meat were superb.
Chan wk: parking shouldn't be a big problem. most of the shop there closed after office hour. They don't have a standard menu except the package set but it may change from time to time.

Well, Thanks. With your recommendation, I can have one more choice now in Ipoh instead always go to this Mung Cheong Pasir Putih. Not only expensive but sometime you have wait long hours if you don;t make reservation.
Next trip back to Ipoh, must try your recommendation. By the way, this package meal is only for Father Day or they available thru out the year?
