BOH has a few tea plantation site in Cameron Highlands. One of the plantation site is located at Sungei Palas. The junction which enter to Sg Palas located nearby the Equatorial Hotel in Brinchang. If you are driving from Brinchang town towards the Equatorial Hotel, the junction is on your left not far away after the hotel.

You could see this signboard which leads you to the BOH Tea Plantation site. The 2 kilometer drive into the tea center consist of narrrow hill slope road.

Don't say they didn't remind you. The road is narrow and sharp corners are everywhere. Remember to press on your car horn frequently to indicate your presense as vehicle from your front may not be visible behind the hidden corners.

Have to drive carefully everytime stumble upon any vehicle from the other direction. The road hardly fit for two vehicle side by side.

Scenery along the road to the BOH Plantation Tea House is very pleasant.

Tea plants are everywhere all over the mountains along the road.

Harvesting tea is a dificult yet dangerous job. The tea is planted on the mountains with ground slanted between 30 to 60 degrees and the walk way is wet and dirty. A wrong step will get a person fall and get injured.

No Entry zone. Some of the road is only meant for the farm vehicles. Note the vehicle at the background of the signboard. That vehicle is collecting harvested tea leaf which is pack into gunny sack. It would then sent to the tea factory to dry and process into consumable tea.

The place was just so nice.

Noah, I was just imaginating it. Well, the parking area is located somewhere 200 meters from the Tea Center. So you just gotta walk there. There are 2 roads linked to the tea center, one is the road as above where George Bush was sighted and the other one is the mountain path as below.

This is the Tea House of Sg Palas BOH Plantation. You could enjoy a nice cup of tea while enjoying the nice scenery of the tea plantation.

The small village there is where the plantations workers live. It was surrounded by mountains all over, just where you could go. Kinda like Alcatraz of Cameron Highlands.

There is an exhibition hall at the Tea Center which display many informations about BOH tea history as well as some of the machines used in tea production such as this old tea leaf roller.
There is also an auditorium where you could see the videos of BOH history and how tea was produced from the earlier time to present.

There is also this tea factory which is open for public visit. You could go inside the factory and see how the workers process the tea leaf.
