Fo Guang Shan Dong Zen Temple 2009

Mooo!... Ox rules the year 2009!
Just before entering the parking bay at the Fo Guang Shan Dong Zen temple, we were greeted by this 30 feet tall 'Ox of Prosperity' lantern with it's cute look. Having been visited this temple over the past two Chinese New Year, I'm not going to miss out this beautiful place from my journey hotspot list.

It is still the same ole Dong Zen Temple and each time when the Chinese New Year festival, this place gloom into a paradise. We reach there before afternoon to avoid the crowd. This place is known to be so pack during the festive season especially in the evening where they light up all the lanterns and beautiful lightings. I didn't get a chance yet to stay till evening to witness the beauty of Dong Zen Temple at night, maybe next year lah.

You need not to find further into the pond for Nemo. He just stood there right beside of the pond and gosh, Nemo has grown larger than human since it's appearance in the silver screen few years ago. It scared me man!

The garden area is kind of plain this year. I guess the economy turmoil has something to do with it as everybody is keeping every budget to a minimum expenses. They have less flora compared with the previous years. But all off, the entire place was still nice.

The scenery remind me back when I was in China. The blossoms, lanterns and everything. It was so alike.

Being at the Dong Zen temple on a broad day light allows peoples to enjoy the colorful flora.

Now, you certainly can't miss the 12 zodiac animals can't you. Looks like our Mr. Dragon here was so happy.

I didn't get to snap much photo on this year's visit. Kind of unfortunate coz I forgot to charge my camera battery! But then, my schedule of the day was kind of tight too as I still have 2 destination to visit before I head back to Ipoh on the same day. Not to mention that I was drunk the night before that I had thrown up few times even when the journey started. It was a tiring day but I did enjoy most of the things that goes along. Hope I'll visit this place again next year.
