The celebrity of the day, my little boy celebrating his very first birthday. Gosh just look how happy he is when MaMa bringing him to grandma home to celebrate his birthday party :)
It was a very memorable year ever since he was born exactly one year ago. MaMa decided to make him a little birthday party for the first time and well, why not.
Well, it was just a small party at home among the members of the family. I just pull some effort preparing some sandwich, coleslaw and buy some grill stuff.
Yummilicious... a table full of foods and of course, a birthday cake. My mum prepared some Tom Yam Fried Beehoon and some Steamed Glutinous Rice and of course, some red egg for her little grandson who celebrate birthday. Hmm.. could someone tell me why the Chinese got to have those boiled egg colored in red every time there is something to celebrate?
Pretty-ly decorated cake courtesy of MaMa who take the effort to ordered it at JJ Cakes. The green tea flavored cake were nice though.
JJ Cakes Ipoh
Talking about the JJ Cakes, I've gotten some good feedback of their nice Swiss Rolls and also their homemade cakes. I've tasted it and I would say, its really good and their Swiss Rolls were great.
The cake shop is located in front of the Tow Boo Keong temple at Jalan Kampar (now Jalan Permaisuri Bainun). You will not likely to see anything written as 'JJ Cakes' cos the shop is somewhat hidden inside a paint shop there. Even DVD shop also not so hidden like them la lol.
