Hiking Kledang Hill

I couldn't recall when was the last time I went to the Kledang Hill but one thing for sure, the hill was a very beautiful place and I would never bored hiking it. I took a chance to take a short hike to the hill recently to experience the beauty of the only reserve forest in Ipoh.

I arrived slightly over 6.00am in the morning and followed the standard route towards the hill. It was so dark then that it is near impossible to see the road eventhough there is a very bright moon shinning in the sky. However, there are many other patrons who came with a torch light with them and I just get along with them walk up the route.

Visibility improves as the sky started to bright up. it was a cloudy morning then and the entire Ipoh city was kind of foggy.

Part of the shortcut stairs along the route. Climbing up these stairs was really exhausting. It was very steep and narrow. One could fall to his death if he slip his foot somewhere.

Woah, got to the top of the stairs now. I was so tired here and could barely hold my camera still.

Some of the resting huts along the route. There are 4WD vehicle from Telco company going up and down from time to time. I don't exercise frequently and by the time I arrived here, my leg started to shake due to the excessive purge of energy to climb up the hill.

Check out this tree. I found some funny stuff hanging on the tree. Some CDs and a pair of snickers? Somebody must have had walked back with his barefoot.

Another shortcut climbing stairs which does not have a proper stairs constructed. Looking at the steep elevation, I actually turn around and follow the road instead. Safety must come first and the last thing you ever want is an accident in this place of nowhere. I want to go back in one piece.

It was a cloudy morning in Ipoh city as I view from the Kledang Hill. I was hoping to see the sunrise from the stretch of Titiwangsa mountain range at the back drop. Somehow, the cloudy morning shredded my dream.

The TV broadcast towers at the top of Kledang Hill. If my memory serve me well, it was about 13 kilometers from the starting point to reach the top of the hill where the towers are located. It was too long ago that I reached there and I really have not much memory about the place now. I Hope I could conquer the hill top again.

The sun continue to rise behind the cloud. Ipoh is such a beautiful city and having able to look at the entire city from the hilltop is just magnificent.

The sky has bright up and I took a rest at one of the resting hut in the middle of the route. I was sweating so much.

A chocolate bar would recover all the calories I burnt just now. Yummy.

I call it a day for this time hiking. Perhaps next time, I will go further up till the hill top but this time, let me enjoy the beautiful reserve forest here. It was so peaceful and cool.

I remember the first time I hike this hill was through a jungle path. Its dirty and exhausting but it was so thrilling. I really wanted to go through the jungle path again. Hopefully one day I could gather a few peoples and walk through the jungle again.
