I fired her!

My wife just discharged from the hospital 3 days ago after delivering our very first baby boy. Man am I glad everything is over and both of them were healthy.

I actually hired a lady to take care of my wife and the baby for the next one month time. having knowing nothing about baby and those to-do and not-to-do things after delivery, I choose to sacrifice the RM2600 to get everything be taken care. That amount is even more than my basic salary already but well, I don't have a better choice.

However, my wife delivered our baby almost one month earlier that the date mentioned to the care taker and she was about to go for a trip to China. Somehow, she got her sister to replace her for the job. Though I wasn't quite like the option but I don't have much choice. It's hard to get someone in the very last minute.

Although my mother was around but I wanted her to take some nice rest since she has been taking care both my sister's child for the past 3 years.
Taking care of a new born baby means that there will be no comfortable sleep at night as the baby would just cry out in the middle of the night for all sort of reason.

That aunty started work right after my wife discharged from the hospital. Things seems to be okay for me but since I didn't know anything much about taking care of a baby, it just doesn't bother me much, as long as she take care of what she suppose to do and no baby crying!

Things started to get pretty much un-well on the next day. Her work is not neat and lack is here and there. My mother who come over to visit her grand child always have a comment or two about her job. Well, everyone have their own preference. Probably she just need some time to adjust herself to suits the needs. So I don't really take those comments seriously.

It's the third day today. My mother-in-law coming over for a visit. I know there will be more complaint about the aunty this time. I know my mother-in-law. Mulut Laser as what people say. And things get even worst when she combined with my mother!

I wasn't at home in the afternoon but from what I get to know later after that, my mother and mother-in-law were talking loads and lots about the aunty's work. Bad things.
I doesn't sounds good.

Later in the evening, my dad called up. It seems that he too, got involved into the farking saga. My dad want me to fire the aunty! Immediately!

WTF! All in the sudden, I was dragged into the shit too. I tried to understand from everyone's point of view to understand if the aunty was not doing her job correctly. I know it is not fair if I only listen to one party but of course, I am the one who going to pay the freaking RM2600 so I certainly want the aunty to do her job correctly.

After hours of talking to this and that person, I conclude that most of the complaint is true and valid. Below is some of the complaint;

Finally, I talked to the aunty. I said that I don't need her service anymore. Everyone's wasn't so pleasant with the way she work and this is only the third day. As the talk goes on, she demanded a 2 weeks payment if I wish to discontinue her service. Adn that is her-law. WTF talking wat law now.
She gave me shit service and sumore want me to pay 2 weeks!
I am not a good negotiator, if given choice, I would just told her to take it or leave with nothing. But I don't want things to get intense.

Knowing myself is not good in talking things up, I call up for reinforcement! I get my sister-in-law over to talk to her. Well, I know she likes to talk a lot and not only that, she bring over her sister which is also quite laser mouth too. On top of that, my mother was also came over. 3 versus 1 mouth, where can fight anymore.

Knowing that it is futile to argue against the 3 laser mouth, the aunty accept my offer. I paid her RM300 for the 3 days work and a Ang Pau of RM20. Tell me if that consider too little!?

So, that was it. I just fired my baby care taker.
