I'm a jerk when talking about car stuff. I have friends who talks lots about car, racing, modification, car market, accessories and so on but nothing much I could say about it. I do drive and I love driving ever since I bought my car 7 years ago. But if you want talk about maintaining a car, don't ever ask me. Cos I don't really know much about it.
My 7 years old Proton Wira Aeroback 1.3 had just had a major break down recently. When I talk about major break down, it simply mean that the car could no longer move. It halt in the middle of the way to Butterworth near Kamunting. It was my brother-in-law who are the unfortunate one cos he borrowed my car hehehe.
I felt terrible when I get to know about it. It sure going to be one hell of repair this time.
Eventually the car is towed to my brother's workshop at Falim.
My brother told me that my car radiator was leaking and the engine got over-heated. That was one issue but the big one was to come.

This was the engine block head of my car. Did you spot the problem here?

There! one of the threaded hole where the spark plug is install was eaten up. The thing become 'Bocor'. So how? I think I'm going to file another 'Bocor' case to the Parliament?
Anyway, I think it is time for my 7 years old car to go for a major overhaul. If given choice, I should have change a better car but my pocket says NO!
I've got the entire engine replaced. The entire radiator thing replaced. Those small small mini minor thing fixed up. And RM800.00 gone. And now I still need to send my car to Puspakom for inspection before going to JPJ to change the engine registration. So ma fan.
Puspakom is very very Ma Fan one. Last time I've been there once to inspect my motorbike cos I lost it's certificate. It was like going to die waiting there to get my bike inspected.
Now the gomen even create more and more and even more ridiculous rules to require people to get their car inspected at Puspakom. $$$...

Allright, just wanted to say something about this little workshop of my elder brother. It was located at Falim near the whole sale market (pasar borong). Initially it was a shared business between my brother and his ex-boss but eventually the business broke down because they fark each other due to some disagreement in the business.
After that my brother took over the place and venture into his own business in.. well, fixing cars.

Just a small workshop. Just several months ago, this workshop was so empty and clean. But now it started to evolve itself into a workshop cum junk yard.

Scrap engine parts are everywhere consuming all the spaces in the small workshop. Eventually it will be sold off as, you know.. scrap engine parts or scrap metals which ever applicable.

You are not alone. I spent for RM1k++ to replace a secondhand engine for my old Daihatsu 3 years back, I guess. Gave up, and decided to get a new car.
