It's time for change

I'm sure everyone's has been well informed of the election result. It was a hard win for Barisan Nasional and on top of that, BN had failed to obtain the 2/3 majority. This is probably the worst winning election for BN.

What 2/3 majority
So, what is this 2/3 majority means for them? Well, I was asking around just now about it though. From what I could understand, for any proposal made in the Parliament, it need at least 2/3 vote from all the Members of Parliament in order to have a green light to proceed with the proposal.
In the past, more than 2/3 of all the MPs are from BN, so whatever proposal thay made could be easily approved because all their own (BN) members will support it.
But the table has turned against them now. The total of MP from BN in the Parliament is less than 2/3 now. So, whatever proposal they made, it will no longer an easy go anymore.

For example,
If some MP from BN propose to increase the petrol price. They can't approve the proposal even if all the MP from BN in the Parliament vote yes because they don't have 2/3 vote of all the vote in the Parliament. Unless they get a few more supporting vote from the opposition party.
So, I guess there will be more debate in the Parliament over these approval thing in the future.

The Tsunami
The opposition party strike it so hard this time, so hard that they have wipe out some of the BN's big guns and took over the governance of a few state in the country which is previously ruled by the BN, Kedah, Penang, Perak and Selangor. So, we are going to see new Chief of Minister on all these 4 states very soon. While BN is striving very hard and offering whole loads of benefit to Kelantan in their campaign to retrieve the state, PAS has proven that they are undisputed and even strengthen their grip on the state.
The election also sees a some shocking fall of several big cannon of BN got kicked out of their seat.
Datuk Seri Samyvellu who expected to make another big birthday party were horrified when loses to Michael Jeyakumar Devaraj of PKR
Datin Shahrizat Abdul Jalil loses to new comer Anwar Ibrahim's daughter Nurul Izzah who has no political experience.
M Kayveas loses to Nga Kor Ming(DAP) in Taiping.
Gerakan's Dr Koh Tsu Koon loses to Ramasamy Palanisamy of DAP.

The voice of Rakyat
The vote from the Rakyat has been cast and the result is heard. It is clear that the Rakyat is turning the table against the ruling government. Many has lose faith on BN and backing up with the opposition. It is a clear sign of the Rakyat that they are not satisfy with the ruling party.

Campaign Ceramah
Campaign or Ceramah by BN and the opposition party is totally 2 different atmosphere to be in, well at least it is in Ipoh. If you go for the campaign by BN party, they will always being a good guy talking so politely, advising you not to fall into the opposition agenda. Not only that, you may even get some free food and goodies from them. They even held dinner with scrumtious food for the public for free and serve them with some horrible singing by their candidates.
Gosh, could you tell me who's money they're spending for those stuff? In the other hand, campaign by the opposition is totally different. You don't get freebies or some delicious food on the table. Their candidates do talk like a gentlemen on tux. They talk loud, they yell, they curse, they stab, they bang on tables just to show you that they're so serious on the topic they're talking about. So, it is not surprised that the ceramah by the opposition is drawing more crowd one after another.
Their topics is an eye opener to the public of what the government is doing all these while.

Buck up or Pack up
The foundation of BN is on earthquake now and it is time for them to seriously look into the matter. The tailwind has faded away and this new term of governance seems to be full of headwinds for BN. They have to do even more in order to gain back the trust from the Rakyat. So, either they Buck Up and make it for the Rakyat or Pack Up on the next election.
