Who doesn't like steamboat? I bet most people do like to enjoy a simple yet fun occasion of steamboat with friends or family. Back in those days, steamboat at restaurant is mostly priced by package. Each package or set comes in different price and amount of food served. The more you pay, the more you get. On most occasion, it doesn't seems to fill up the hunger but the joy of having it together with a bunch friends are simple priceless. We always end up with a huge pile of left over stuff on the table creating mess all over. Sometimes we even smuggled our own food such as fish ball, ham etc etc.

Steamboat now days is mostly served in buffet style although package set is still available. I was on this Mamamia Steamboat which is located in Greenhill adjacent to the Alliance Bank recently.

Mamamia Steamboat Restaurant serving buffet style steamboat. For only RM19.90 per pax (excluding drinks), price is quite reasonable as there are dozens of variety awaiting for you to pick from.

Inside the restaurant, the environment is just nice.

All items are place nicely on the center and you could take your time to pick your favourite food.

While awaiting your steamboat ready, you may want to pick up some sushi here.
I love sushi, but the sushi here does not appear to be that yummy. The rice was just too soft for my liking. It was like Nasi Himpit which is served with Satay. thumbs down on this.

Korean Kim Chi. This could be a good appetizer if you enjoy spice and sour food.

There are 4 types of soup base you could choose from for your steamboat;

Japanese shabu-shabu soup

Korean kim chi soup

Chinese ginseng chicken soup

Thai tom yam soup

This restaurant only serve 1 selection of soup. Ipohchai like the dual soup steamboat more, thumbs down

Huge varieties of food are available. Squids, beef slices, chicken, mantis shrimp, spiked snail etc etc, too many la ! yum yum~

There's also noodles such as beehoon, yee mee, instant noodles etc if you would like to have some

Outside the restaurant is this Tepanyaki and Fry counter. You could pick some squids or chicken meat or even prawn and the pretty girl here will prepare a delicious Tepanyaki for you.
There's also deep fry food such as Wan Ton, Chicken nugget, potato and prawn. You just need to pick as much as you want and it will be ready shortly, for NO extra charge ! Thumbs Up yo!

Tepanyaki! It has prawns, squids and chicken meat friend with some beansprout, cabbage and garlic. There is also some fried squids and fries. This was SO tasty I'telya!

Ah, looks like our steamboat is boiling. Don't you want to have a taste too?
I couldn't recall how many rounds exactly we have eat but our stomach is really fully filled. Feel like cannot move anymore.

Desert ! There's Jelly, Pudding, Cakes, Fruits, Ice Cream. Eat as much as you can, no question asked. But make sure you really eat it all ok.
