My dream digital camera

I always wanted to get a good yet easy to use digital camera. The Olympus mju300 which I have been using isn't good anymore. It can't photo under the bright sun and terrible when snapping photo in low light condition.

Last week, I get this unit of digital camera from by younger brother. He has just bought this camera few month ago but now he has changed to a Nikon D80 DSLR camera instead.

It was the awesome Canon Powershot S3IS. Well I have been wanted to buy this camera though and now I really get to use this awesome camera. Gosh, you won't know how happy am I to test it.
Well, this may not be the camera that I would bring along snap a photo the chicken rice I ate when I go for lunch as it don't seems to fit into my pocket.

It even comes with a Conversion Lens Adaptor making it totally looks like a DSLR Camera in fact, the Canon S3IS is not really a DSLR camera.

DSLR stands for Digital Single-Lens Reflex which is a camera mechanism system used for the hi end camera and a DSLR uses a much larger sensor compared with the normal compact camera.
For instance, the Canon Powershot G7 (10 megapix) camera uses a 7.48mm x 3.52mm CCD sensor while the Canon EOS 400D(10 megapix also) uses 22.2mm x 14.8mm CMOS sensor. That was almost 3 times the size of a same megapixel compact camera.

Hmm, wouldn't I looks like a professional photographer with this thing strap on my neck. This 6 mega pixel camera comes with a lot of function. The icons in the menu is even more than the icon on my computer desktop. Guess I'm going to stick to the Auto Mode for a while.

Things that I like the most on this camera is it has an astonishing 12X optical zoom. Now that I don't have to climb up to the tree to snap a photo a cuckoo bird.

This is a normal snap shot without any zoom applied. Yeah, it is right in front of my house doorstep.

Normal digital camera has 3x optical zoom. Well, it does help a lil bit if you were to adjust the focus size when snapping photo of some body.

At 12x zoom, things seems to be much more larger. You may even see if there is any ants or spider crawling on the plant if you open the photo to its actual size.

Well, I will still take some time to learn how to handle this thing. I still haven't got the user's manual yet and it don't seems downloadable from the internet but I enjoyed every shot from this camera.

Oh yeah, I hope you could get your blog up soon too. Not that I ever saw a blog developed on Flash before. I will be waiting for that.
