Nasi Lemak Ayam kampung

Honestly, I really didn't pay much attention about this Nasi Lemak shop when I first saw it. But as I saw it appear in the local newspaper, I gave a second thought about it. Why not give it a try though. Let see if what the paper say is true or otherwise.

This restaurant is located near the Ambank at Jalan Yang Kalsom and this is where I held my wedding dinner few years ago. Never that I though, the place I once hail 'Yam Seng !' has now turn into a Nasi Lemak restaurant.

Inside the restaurant. The air-conditioned interior was clean and tidy. There was also a Surau upstairs for the muslim to pray.

Their signature Nasi Lemak Ayam Kampung. I read that the rice was not cooked in one whole, instead, the rice and coconut milk is contained into a small container and it is steamed to perfection. But then, the amount was kind of stingy. It can't fill up my tummy to perfection, lol.

As for chicken, it's skin is removed prior to fried. So, you ain't going to get those cholesterol rich chicken skin on your Nasi Lemak meal. Its more healthy though.
Also, pay attention to the chilli Sambal, I would prefer more Sambal on my Nasi Lemak.

Nasi Lemak with Ayam Masak Merah. Somehow, I find this chicken better than the plain fried chicken.

Also, I ordered a Regular Fried Sotong. Looks nice and it taste good too. I just hope that the amount is more than just these few bites. For RM6.00, I thought I could get more!

Overall, I find the Nasi Lemak Ayam Kampung isn't really something to shout out for. Charging more than RM6.00 per plate of Nasi Lemak, they should have been more generous. I really hesitant to pay that amount of money for a plate of rice which hardly fill up my stomach. But if you say paying more for the quality, well I could hardly differ this with the RM2.50 Nasi Lemak from the stall near my home. Maybe I should review the Chinese aunty Nasi Lemak near my house one day.
