National Day Parade 2008

It must have been more than a decade since the last time I went to see National Day parade, well if I ever really been to one before. Really couldn't remember anymore. This year, I decided to pay a visit on my on city's National Day parade.

I was at Padang Ipoh early in the morning before the parade start. Everyone is already there preparing for the big day, thousands of them.

Spectators are waiting along the roadside of the parade long before it begins. Well, I'm not the type of person who would just sit by and wait for some events. I was walking all around the place looking those events. The main events happen in front of the Railway Station where all the VVIPs are seated.

It is even more crowded there in front of the railway station. Thing is more interesting here.

The choir and the royal army in the line right in front of the main stage where the VVIP are seated.

The Royal Highness Sultan of Perak and family and the state ministers.

Well, there are thousands of spectators along the road there awaiting for the parade event to start. Its crowded and it hot as the sun started to rise up from the horizon. Hmm, I notice this gal staring at me for quite a moment though.

Our national's pride, Jalur Gemilang.

And the flags of all kinds on the parade.

There sure are a whole lots of contingent marching on the parade with colorful costume.

And not to forgot about those who are on wheels too.

Allright, there's our Karate Kid on the line.

The fiery looking army with their weapons. well you sure wouldn't want to create some mess around here huh.

The superbikes from the Fire and Rescue Department. Well, I never really see these bikes on action before. I wonder how often they goes out on the road though.

Also, this cute little scooter from the Police force, never see them in the town either.
