Yeah, no kidding. I was quoting about The Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur offering "The most expensive chicken rice in the WORLD!"
No, I didn't misspell or in halucination. It is CHICKEN RICE, nasi ayam, kai fan! and it cost RM5,888. More than my monthly salary and you aren't even treated the meal at a 7 Star Hotel cooked by a Super Duper chef from Italy or wherever it is.
You just going to had a plate of Chicken Rice at a duno-where-or-what restaurant in Ipoh!
As a person born and stayed in Ipoh, I really don't know that Chicken Rice was born in Ipoh. But I know a few place in Ipoh which offer good chicken rice though.
Well now I was proud that the world's most expensive chicken rice could be found in Ipoh! Yup, it was on the newspaper and it is no kidding.
Somehow, with that amount of money, let me treat you with better offer of chicken rice la. Just come over to Ipoh and I'll buy you all the chicken rice you ever wanted with the money

You misquoted them la. It's a RM5888 package deal including flight & accomodation. The chicken rice is just a marketing gimmick if you realised it by now. Private airplane and a hotel suite… what do you expect? Hehe.
I know that it was a luxury package offer but I don't understand why they want to put the Chicken Rice as the keypoint?
I believe most people would agree that Ipoh's beansprout chicken is more famous than the Chicken Rice.
If they themed the package as 'Visiting Ipoh's Food Heaven', that would make more sense. We have much more than Chicken Rice here in Ipoh
RM5888 for just chicken rice is very expensive, but it's still considered ok with the luxury package lar..haha. Yes, heansprout chicken is more famous here instead of chicken rice.
I do love Ipoh chicken rice... but it certainly wouldn't be on my list of luxury items.
I think the chicken are live in luxury environment, eat luxury and have mate to serve it...
