The Touch N Go service has been around for so many years and so many peoples has already benefited from its convenience. Being an occasional highway user, I have been using Touch N Go for about 5 years now and has been quite satisfied with its service, until what have happened recently.
I entered the Jelapang tol using Touch N Go and saw that I have only RM13.40 balance in my card. Knowing that the balance would not be enough to exit at Juru, I decided to top up the card at ATM machine at the highway resting spot.
I turn out to the Sungai Perak R&R and saw that there is an ATM machine at the Petrol station kiosk. SO, I tried to top up RM50 into my Touch N Go.
Unfortunately, an error pop up and the top up transaction got cancelled. Well, this ain't something which surprised me though because many ATM machine also shown such error through me experience.
Since, I could not manage to top up my card, I decided to exit at Taiping tol and top up at the service booth there. As I reach the tol at Taiping and attempt to 'Touch N Go', I got a NO-GO instead! My card show ZERO balance and I got stuck at the tol booth with several car bumping behind me! WTF! An assistant came over and asking me to pay cash in order to exit and since I got other option then, I paid up and then go to the customer service to sort out my problem.
I told him the problem I face that my card's credit suddenly dissapear without a trace. Yeah, the customer service fellow could not trace my problem either. I was only given a form to filed a complaint to their office and he said they will try to sort it out within 30 days! WTF! 30 days to sort out a little problem like this!

The lesson
Topping up Touch N Go at ATM machine is risky and you may lose all the credit in your Touch N Go instead.
Touch N Go need 30 days to sort out your problem! Thats what they say and duno whether can solve or cannot.
*It has been like a week already and no response from them!

Just tell them if they don't solve it as soon as possible, you gonna bring the matter to the tribunal.
I don't think it worth to file it at the tribunal for some RM13.40 loss. Waste my time and petrol nia
well, malaysia boreh. only this sort of things happen to us malaysians. lucky folks at sg, their ezlink can be used in so many places without hassle, even for certain foodcourt and groceries!
Don't forget that they are charging you a few Ringgit when you top up using ATMs.

I am sorry to hear about your recent bad experience with the Touch & Go service.
Like you I am also a regular user of the Touch & Go card. Have been using it for more than 5 years. So far I have not had any bad experience with the service. Mostly use it to pay toll along the Kajang-Cheras highway when I go and return from work in the day time.
I always top up the credit balance when it drops to less than RM8.00.
s I have seen it too often, if you are stuck for lack of sufficient credit it is a hassle to back out against a long line of cars queuing up behind your rear, not to mention earning the wrath of irate drivers.
On a few occasions when the driver in front of me ran out of credit, I got out of my car to pay the RM1.00 toll for the other guy and after doing that cheerfully just waved him on. On such an occasion, I usually get the pleasure of seeing a surprised and astonished expressions on the face of the grateful driver when I wave him on.
Yet on the rare occasions when the credit balance dropped dangerously to below RM8.00 before I could find a ATM machine to top up the low credit balance, I simply pay the toll by cash.
