Trip to Yunnan China pt 3

Its the second day of the trip as everybody done with the breakfast at the hotel we get on with our journey. Talk about the breakfast, everyday morning, the breakfast will be served at the hotel where you stay. It will be a buffet style breakfast and it will be similar to each other everyday. Gosh am I miss the Nasi Lemak and Bak Kut Teh.

Look at the breakfast, I can't imagine I have to eat this for the next entire week's morning. Ohya, did I tell you about their porridge and that black glutinous rice desert. It was heavily added with tapioca starch and makes it looks like glue. I could throw the whole bowl of porridge on the wall and it will stick there and then. OK, maybe it will not stick there, I sure won't eat the glue!

Today, we will be visiting the awesome JiuXiang scenic park and the magnificient Stone Forest. The city of Kunming was pretty much packed with traffic and if you like to know, the Chinese here are rude driver. There are virtually no traffic rules here. There have been a few attempt that our partaker was choked by an emergency brake by our good ole bus driver.
"Its normal here" he smiled at us. Niamah, he going to kill us just like that ar!

And then they even have those horse or donkey cart running in the city. You gotta be careful with the shit it burst out while on the way. I can't imagine if they park their horse/donkey-Limo right in front of Carrefour and go shopping there one whole happy family.

It takes about 2 hours drive from Kunming to reach the Jiu Xiang scenic park and the scenery along the road was pretty nice. As we leave Kunming city, there are lots of flowers and vegetables farms along the roadside. With the whole year long spring weather, Kunming produce lots of quality flowers and it is very cheap here.

On the middle of our journey, we stopped by at the Bao Shu Tang Medicine outlet of Kunming. Those who have been to China should know about this Bao Shu Tang.
Visitors to Bao Shu Tang usually will get to see a guy there burn his bare hand onto a red hot burning chain and immediately cure it with its infamous Bau Fu Ling cream. Well, since most of our trip participant have watched it before, we request the guy not to get himself burn anymore, its bored.

After a short visit at the Bao Shu Tang, we went on to have our lunch. Today's lunch was quite early but since this particular restaurant serve among the best food around this area, we just fill up out stomach again.
Yunnan is famous for its chinese herbs. Everyday, you will get to taste a few dishes which is cooked from these herbs.

Well this resraurant was pretty unique. The table and chairs are so short and the floor was covered with dried grass.

Yummy or not leh? With so many dishes served, I'm sure there is something for everyone.
Talk about the beer, China have so many types of beers. You will find different brand at different place. Anyway, I feel that their beer there a bit mild compared to our beer in Malaysia.
Sometimes, they also serve rice wine. The Bamboo wine is pretty famous in Yunnan.

Everybody have had their tummy filled and its time to continue the journey.
As the bus travel further from the city, I saw mountains along the road side. The huge mountains along the road is quite different from what we have in malaysia. Rain is scarce here and the air is very dry, you wont find much trees and grass covering the land here.

We arrived to the Jiu Xiang Scenic park at afternoon.

Thats our tourguide of Kunming Xiao Zhai and the pretty Ashima was the tourguide which will bring us along the JiuXiang scenic area.
The JiuXiang scenic area are consist of a small river and a cavern path which is about 3.7 kilometer of walking. At the end of the cave, there will be a cable car which will bring tourist back to the main entrance.

We took a boat to explore the river along the valley. The scenery there was simply enchanting.

The boat will only goes to about 200 meters as the valley become too narrow for the boat to move further.

The river flow along the cavern path and you could hear the water streaming along the way.

It was really exhausting to finished up the 3.7km path. towards the end of the path would be climbing up to the hill top to get to the cable car.

I was so relief when its over. No I can seat and relax while enjoying the scenery around the area from the top.

So beutiful up here.
