Trip to Yunnan China pt 8 Li Jiang Ancient Old City

After visiting the Hei Long Tan (Black Dragon Pool), we checked in to the hotel in LiJiang's famous Ancient Old City
Like Dali, LiJiang too has its own old city here and LiJiang's old city cover even larger area compared to the old city in Dali.

After the dinner, our journey was to visit another Old City at the outskirts of LiJiang. Man, they really has lots of old city here isn't it.
This is the Dong-He old city and it charge entrance fee to visitors. It just doesn't make sence to me, the most famous old town in the center of LiJiang city is free of charge, so why pay to visit here le? Since it was included in our trip, just carry on and see what they have there.
Honestly, I would say the old city in Dali is even better than this one for sure.

The infamous Ancient Old City of Li Jiang

Let see what we have here at the ancient old city of LiJiang. I'm having problem on taking night scenic shots. I guess a tripod is required to do the job but sigh, hopefully these few photos could give you an idea of the beauty of the city here at night.

Unlike Dali, the houses in this city was partialy built on the hill slope. So, you get to see the beautiful lightings on the houses at the hill slope which is spectacular.

This is the street for the bars and fun pub. For those who likes party, this is the heaven. Look at the crowd along the street.

I feel that the old city here was over-crowded. Yeah you heard that right, I'm not sure if its peak season today but on every sight I see, theres hundreds or thousands of people on the place.

Food stall. The have barbecue and steamboat here as well as some other odd local delicacies.

Well, the old city here in LiJiang is really huge that it was like a maze. You may not find the way out though. We just walked one path along the city and it takes us like an hour more. I was kind of exhausted already.

The old city on the next morning. Yeah, so quiet since the shop is yet to open for business.

I really feel like I was travelling back to the ancient time like in the kung fu drama on Astro.

Ultimately, the LiJiang ancient old city captured an ever lasting memory. The beauty of the night scenic and the ancient feel of the city here is just remarkable.

Read on about the 6th day of the trip in LiJiang which is the most screw-up day of the trip. Yeah, screw-up!
