It takes about an hour drive to reach Cameron Highlands from Simpang Pulai, Ipoh. It has been a couple of month I didn't go up to Cameron Highlands to visit my sister there so I took a drive there again last weekend.

There is a lot of limestone mining in Simpang Pulai. Most of the limestone hill here has been open for limestone blasting for so many years. Most probably in another decade or so, Simpang Pulai will become a flat terrain.

This is a marble factory. Large pieces of marble are cut into blocks and will then be further cut into desired size and shape of marble.

When talk about Cameron Highlands, people tends to think about its strawberry. Yeah, I know there are plentiful of strawberry farm in Cameron Highlands. They are everywhere and not only you could buy strawberry, you could even buy the whole strawberry plant back to your home. It cost about RM7.00 for each strawberry plant. But then, it will not survive in hot weather unless you want to plant it inside your fridge.
There are many delicacies of strawberry that you may find all over Cameron Highlands such as strawberry ice cream, dried strawberry, strawberry salad, strawberry with honey or chocolate, waffles with ice cream strawberry and many more.

Now days, strawberry are not then only impression about Cameron Highlands. There has been another specialty from this cold nice highland. It is the pearl corn. This corn is really sweet and juicy, you can even eat it just like that without the need to cook it. It is really unlike the normal corn we found in pasar malam, this pearl corn taste much satisfying and you really should try it.

The price of this pearl corn is rather expensive, each corn cost about RM3.00 and cheaper if you buy more. Now I am talking about the large size grade A one, the smaller one or grade B corn could be bought at around RM2.00 and below.

Tringkap is one of the small towns in Cameron Highlands after Kampung Raja and Kuala Terla as if you drive from Simpang Pulai. You will find this Rose Valley garden by the main road at Tringkap. You could see lots of beautiful fauna inside this garden.

There is this row of stalls selling local products by the roadside just outside the Rose Valley Garden. This is one of the famous tourist shopping spot in Cameron Highlands. You could buy local vegetables, flowers, souvenirs and some yummy delicacies here.

Colorful flowers. Just for RM10.00 you could get abundance of colorful flowers here.

Roses. You should buy some for your beloved one. The seller here provides flower packing service too.

Some of the yummy delicacies. From left, sweet potato, tapioca(cassava) and fish ball. My wife likes the steamed tapioca. Pieces of tapioca is steamed to soft with some brown sugar toppings. This one was Uh! its yummy.

Further down from Tringkap, we arrived to Brinchang area. Brinchang is the hilltop area of Cameron Highlands. This is where the Equatorial Hotel is located. There are many roadside stalls at the main road around the hotel here.

Kea Farm is one of the market located near the Equatorial Hotel. I like to buy stuff here.

Delicious strawberry. If you visit Cameron Highlands, you should get a handful of strawberries. Also, not forget about the sweet Pearl Corn too. And if you like sweet potato, try to buy the small little sweet potato from the vegetables stall.
