OK, finally I get to use this new USB Bluetooth dongle to transfer files from my camera phone. I used to remove the memory card from my handphone to transfer the files and that is really troublesome.
Now, I'm using the billionton bluetooth dongle, the one with an antenna one. The one below was the old AVF bluetooth dongle which kaput already. Yeah, I pull out the device as it's light is still blinking. I don't know it was so freaking fragile and would kaput just like that. So I bought a new one during the last PC Fair. Now I know that I should never pull out the device until my PC was switch off!
Unlike a thumb drive which tends to be so tough that it wouldn't easily damage eventhough you pull out the device from the USB port without disconnecting it from the system, you should NEVER simply pull out a USB bluetooth device from a computer.
I learned it the hard way!

sorry to inform u but the antenna of ur bluetooth dongle is nothing more than a piece of plastic.. it do u no good..i have the same model and found out that the the antenna is fake...but if u want to pull it out, proceed at your own risk..
well that antenna looking thingy didn't bother me. I do think it was fake initially
Pen Drive also need to becareful lo... some time not ur Pen Drive kaput, is ur PC kaput...
i experience before, my pendrive without disconnect, and i hibernate my PC, then morning when i want to go work, i just simply plug out, when i back home to open my PC, the PC cannot open liao, kaput..ned to reformat... teruk lo
wa! thats terrible man.
pc got kaput instead of the device.
1st time hear someone need to reformat pc because unplugging a usb device lol
This is a fake Billionton Device. The original has the LED towards the end of the product, not in the middle. And it comes with its own driver CD(not the Bluesoleil crap)
Its range isnt that good either. I bought one of these and i have to hold the bluetooth dongle to my w810i phone to transfer data. in my opinion, thats baaaad! might has well stick to infra red or data cable in that case. 40kbps transfer rate at most.

Eh, you sure it's the USB dongle or not. Is it your USB extension cord that's maybe too tight and damage the dongle?
I've been pulling my slim "AVF" brand BT dongle in and out at least twice a day.
