Waraku Japanese Restaurant Ipoh Garden

Haven't visited any fine Japanese restaurant for some times already so recently, I paid a visit to one of the best Japanese restaurant in Ipoh, Waraku. This restaurant located just opposite the VooDoo bistro in Ipoh Garden East.

The interior of the resturant were dim. Somehow I got the feeling like I was entered into a pub.

Mom said, it bad to read in the dark, it will harm your eyes ya know!
But that is just what I did here, I have to. Of course you need not to look at the menu for so long right. Their helpful waitress will gave some good recommendation and point you to some of their top ordered dishes so you would get an idea what most people are seeking here.

Kushiyaki or grill stick or you could also call it Satay too which ever you prefer. I had a stick of Enoki which consists of mushroom and another stick of Salmon No Negima. They have a whole list of Kushiyaki in their menu for you to choose from. But this two stick I ordered taste just so so only la.

I ordered a bowl of Kitsune Soba. The soba noodle were very smooth and the soup taste just right.

A Kani hand roll(left) which consist of deep fried soft shell crab and cucumber covered with Sushi rice wrap with a layer of seaweed. On the right is the California hand roll which has the crab stick in the middle. Eating hand roll is fun and gosh, my little son likes it so much and was crying loud for it.

I was told that they have fresh oyster arrived on that same day and recommended me to try it out. This is the Nama Kaki or steamed Oyster spread with fried garlic oil. The fresh oyster was huge and taste so juicy. Although it is serve with a simple preparation, it taste just marvelous.

The Kaki Cheese seems familiar. Its cheese baked oyster allright. The cheese toppings were so fragrance and the juicy fresh oyster just add up the umph when you take a bite on it. Taste really really good.

A set of Gindara Teriyaki. It comprised of grilled fish with Teriyaki sauce, steamed egg, miso soup and potato salad served with a bowl of rice. And yes, some refreshing fruit too. The grilled fish with Teriyaki sauce taste very good and it is just perfect to have it with the rice.

I whole, our dinner here at Waraku was good. The place were comfortable though it was a bit overly dimmed for me. The food here were delicious and I found no flaw on all the thing I ordered above. The damage made to my wallet cost RM91.85 including two glass of green tea and plus 10% service charge.
