YoYo Flavor Bercham

The term YoYo Bus might be synonym to those who are living in Ipoh. Yeah, the Ipoh-KLIA express bus which office located at the main road of Bercham. I took their bus once to KLIA during my trip to Shanghai couple of years ago.
As the year goes by, YoYo has expand their business beyond express bus service. They now conduct their own holiday trip on some of our local tourist spot and now, they even have a restaurant just nearby their office.

I pay a visit to YoYo Flavor in Bercham recently to have a review on their menu there. The restaurant can be easily found since it is located right on the main road of Bercham. The ambient inside the restaurant was pleasant. They have a small area inside there with some kids playground stuff and they even have free WiFi!

Having a glance on their menu, I was surprised to find that they offer a huge variety of dishes. Local cuisine, western food, Japanese Bento set and noodle, Taiwanese snacks, Korean food and many more. I'd ordered a Chicken Chop dinner set while my wife ordered a Cheese Baked Rice set.

Drinks associated with the dinner set. Somehow, I think they're a little (too) stingy on the drinks. This is a small sized glass. Has black jelly a.k.a. leong fun drink become so expensive nowdays? And yeah, the other glass they claim is green tea taste no difference than of those chinese tea you get at any chinese coffee shop, for just 40 cent! sumore big glass!!

Ah, mushroom soup. Ya know, toasted garlic bread and mushroom soup has always been the best combo to me. I like the crispy toasted bread dip into the mushroom soup and mmmmh.. so delicious I'telya. But this fella put some tiny bits of toasted bread into the soup, decoration maybe? But the bread bits would become so soften after a couple of minutes and it will simply kill the soup!

Ah, my chicken chop which is served with lemon juice. Taste pretty nice.

Then comes the Cheese Baked Rice which happend to be the culprit for the dissapointment of the evening. The rice which looks 'pretty OK' is only good as it looks. When serve onto our table, the bowl was really hot so the fella place the bowl on top of a plate instead. The bowl is eliptical in shape and it was placed onto a plate which doesn't fit with the bowl base. It end up with the bowl placed slanted on top of the small plate. Not only that, the bowl tends to swing since it's base is not able to sit properly.

Secondly, the inner part of the rice is actually not hot which sucks the most. I'm not a cook but I'm sure know the rice is not being baked long enough. The cheese is just started to melt and its flavor haven't even goes into the rice so, how the hell you want it to taste good? So, double thumbs down for this Cheese Baked (not enuf) Rice.

This Taiwanese Sausage are unlike those you have in the night market.
